Fabrication
Coleman Frame
A welded frame I built so a Coleman cooler could ride in the truck without shifting.

Constraint
What made it hard
The frame had to hold a load that shifts under braking and over washboard, in a space that was already spoken for, without ending up heavier than the thing it carries.
03
Decision
What I chose, and what I rejected
I built it as a welded frame sized to the object rather than an adjustable rack that would fit anything. Adjustable would have been more useful in theory and would have rattled itself loose in practice.
